It is certain that this area was already inhabited in prehistoric times. A number of burial mounds along this route bear witness to this. The Vierhouterbos, a beautiful centuries-old beech forest. In addition to the red deer, fallow deer, roe deer and wild boar, this is one of the three habitats of the mouflon, also known as the wild sheep. Who knows, you might see them... have fun walking!
It is possible to combine this route with the walk 'Over de Vodseberg'
The walking path runs over terrain where wildlife finds shelter. To avoid disturbing the animals and to prevent the spread of animal diseases, dogs are not allowed.
