't Kuierpaodje is a 5 kilometer walk around the village of Elspeet. You stroll along dirt roads and old paths, along the edge of the forest and old excavations. The village of Elspeet was already mentioned in 1227. There is no agreement yet about the origin of the name Elspeet. 'Speet' means 'a piece of wasteland suitable for agriculture'. The common explanation is that 'El' refers to 'old' and 'Nun' to the new land reclamation, but that explanation faces a number of objections from historians. It is certain that this area was already inhabited in prehistoric times. You'll see... have fun walking.

It is possible to combine this route with the walk 'Over fields and camps' (13 Km).
The walking path runs over terrain where wildlife finds shelter. To avoid disturbing the animals and to prevent the spread of animal diseases, dogs are not allowed.
