The works of Jan Voerman sr, known for his landscapes of the IJssel and the clouds, and his son Jan Voerman jr., known from the Verkade albums, form the heart of the museum. The history of Hattem is told. Here you can see and experience the story about the castle the Fat Tinne of the court of Gelre that stood in Hattem and the life of Herman Willem Daendels, the patriot who was born in Hattem. And in the museum you can also admire the 4000 year old Klokbeker and Klokbekerschaal, which were found during excavation work in Hattem.
Twice a year, the museum holds a new temporary exhibition. You can have a cup of coffee in the cosy coffee corner or in the beautiful courtyard. For children there is a free treasure hunt book available.
