Exhibition 'ZILVER LICHT'

Where:
Museum Elburg

When:
until 9 March

The exhibition 'ZILVER LICHT' can be admired in Museum Elburg from January 13 to March 9, 2024.

This exhibition features silver jewelry by goldsmith Jessica Veldhuizen and paintings by Hannelore Houdijk and Henrie Vogel. These last two play with light and the refraction of light. Just as candlelight reflects the environment in a silver candlestick, the light plays across the canvases of both painters. The work of Hannelore Houdijk shows objects, including silver, that have been placed in water, the water refracts the light and gives a distorted image. Henrie Vogel's paintings are based on nature, his abstract works show paths of light and scattered light.

Jessica Veldhuizen makes contemporary jewelry, often inspired by ancient cultures. She knows, from a great love for nature and everything that the earth produces, precious metals such as gold and silver can be combined with gemstones and surprising materials such as bakelite, fossils, oil paintings, feathers and bone.
