From Friday 7 July to Saturday 25 November, Museum Elburg will show work by 55 Dutch and international enamellers. The Dutch artists are all affiliated with the Dutch Enamel Association, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The international artists are invited to participate in the exhibition. With so many artists and such a broad art form as enamelling, it is not surprising that the exhibition with more than 200 works is very diverse.
The overall theme for this year is “Movement”. That's very broad. Art 'moves' people, it evokes emotions. Art can also actually move, for example on the wind, or have parts that set the image in motion. Finally, art in solid form can also express movement. In short, there are plenty of opportunities for the participating artists to convert this theme into a work of art.
